SUMMARY:Every Brain Matters Monthly Speakers Meeting with Anne Moss Rogers- Turning Pain Into Purpose
DESCRIPTION:Turning Pain Into Purpose\nThis is a conversation and story telling on how one person coped with and managed the pain of loss.\n\nAnne Moss Rogers is an emotionally naked® speaker\, TEDx storyteller\, certified suicide prevention trainer\, NAMI Virginia board member\, and the award-winning author of Diary of a Broken Mind. After her 20-year-old son\, Charles died by suicide on June 5\, 2015\, Anne Moss chronicled her family’s tragedy in a newspaper article that went viral\, and her blog\, Emotionally Naked\, has reached millions.  Her second book\, Emotionally Naked: A Teacher’s Guide to Preventing Suicide and Recognizing Students at Risk\, is due out August 2021 through Wiley Publishing. \nShe has been featured in the New York Times and was the first suicide loss survivor ever invited to speak to at the National Institute of Mental Health. A UNC-Chapel Hill alumnus\, Anne Moss currently lives in Richmond\, VA with her husband. Her surviving son\, Richard\, is a filmmaker in LA. \nLinks: Free ebook: Coping Strategies for Grief & Loss: https://annemoss.com/coping-strategies-for-grief-loss \nBooks and free ebooks: https://annemoss.com/shop/ \n  \n\nJoin us on the first Friday of every month for messages of hope and healing from the impacts of marijuana. We welcome a different speaker every month who will share their experience and provide pathways to find serenity as we navigate through today’s pro-marijuana/drug culture. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one or trying to recover yourself\, this meeting is for you. You will be a Q & A at the end of each meeting. This meeting is appropriate for all family members ages 16 and up. \nLink To Meeting \nMeeting ID: 872 9417 0134\nPasscode: ebmsupport \nEvery Brain Matters Recovery Community is built on a foundation of love\, willingness\, and HONESTY. We seek to create a culture of healing. \nThe expansion of marijuana is negatively affecting people in many ways:  addiction\, psychosis\, suicide\, homicide\, DUI’s\, Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome\, and other incidents of injury or trauma resulting in harm or death\, overdoses\, and where marijuana was a gateway\, companion\, and/or relapse drug. \nThis meeting may be recorded with the presenters and the participants’ permission.
