SUMMARY:Every Brain Matters Monthly Speakers Meeting -Dominic M.
DESCRIPTION:Hello\, my name is Dominic M.\, and I am currently 18 years old. My sobriety date is 1-28–2022. I struggled a lot most of my life. I did things to get attention\,  and I didn’t have any real connections\, especially with my dad. There was a lot of violence in both of my homes\, and it seemed like my parent’s divorce was the portal to me entering hell. For me\, drugs were always an option\, and when I first started getting high\, I didn’t even have a good time.  I was made fun of and ridiculed because of my behavior. My using honestly really skyrocketed when I convinced my mom and psychiatrist that Delta-8 THC was CBD. This began the huge rift in my relationship with them\, and I began using Delta-8 almost daily. I convinced my parents that Delta-8 was medicine\, but I was really using it to get high. \nAfter a few years of using\, and even using while I was in a recovery program. I decided to actually honestly work on my recovery during my last relapse when I was inhaling dangerous chemicals from aerosol cans and seriously considered using meth.  I had decided that enough was enough. I wanted to get sober for real. Having the willingness to work on my recovery and then putting that willingness into action (work)\, I am proud to say I have been sober for almost a year. Please join me on Jan. 6 at 6 pm central time to hear about my experience\, strength\, and hope. \nJoin us on the first Friday of every month for messages of hope and healing from the impacts of marijuana. We welcome a different speaker every month who will share their experience and provide pathways to find serenity as we navigate through today’s pro-marijuana/drug culture. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one or trying to recover yourself\, this meeting is for you. You will be a Q & A at the end of each meeting. This meeting is appropriate for all family members ages 16 and up. \nLink To Meeting \nMeeting ID: 872 9417 0134\nPasscode: ebmsupport \nEvery Brain Matters Recovery Community is built on a foundation of love\, willingness\, and HONESTY. We seek to create a culture of healing. \nThe expansion of marijuana is negatively affecting people in many ways:  addiction\, psychosis\, suicide\, homicide\, DUI’s\, Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome\, and other incidents of injury or trauma resulting in harm or death\, overdoses\, and where marijuana was a gateway\, companion\, and/or relapse drug. \nThis meeting may be recorded with the presenters’ and the participants’ permission.
