Every Brain Matters Monthly Speakers Meeting- Amy Neville

Amy’s son had cannabis use disorder at the age of 13 and by 14 he made the deadly mistake of swallowing a pill that contained a lethal dose of Fentanyl. Since then Amy has dedicated her life to educating families and communities about the harms of fentanyl, cannabis, and other drugs. She especially focuses her messages on the predatory practices of social media, including Snapchat. Please join us for this very important zoom meeting to hear a valuable testimony that will save lives and bring hope to families.

Join us on the first Friday of every month for messages of hope and healing from the impacts of marijuana. We welcome a different speaker every month who will share their experience and provide pathways to find serenity as we navigate through today’s pro-marijuana/drug culture. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one or trying to recover yourself, this meeting is for you. You will be a Q & A at the end of each meeting. This meeting is appropriate for all family members ages 16 and up.

Every Brain Matters Recovery Community is built on a foundation of love, willingness, and HONESTY. We seek to create a culture of healing.

The expansion of marijuana is negatively affecting people in many ways:  addiction, psychosis, suicide, homicide, DUI’s, Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome, and other incidents of injury or trauma resulting in harm or death, overdoses, and where marijuana was a gateway, companion, and/or relapse drug.

This meeting may be recorded with the presenters’ and the participants’ permission.

Every Brain Matters Monthly Speakers Meeting -Rowan-P.

I’m Rowan painter, 18 years old, from Houston Texas. I became addicted to vaping marijuana at a young age which led me to feel depressed and I was totally shut down. Then, I progressed to use more drugs,  like injecting meth. I have been in and out of recovery for 3 years with some challenging situations, but I’m so grateful to say, I now have achieved 8 months of sobriety. My life has completely changed and the obsession to get high is no longer haunting me.  And on a lighter note, a fun fact about me is  I love the reality TV show Survivor and have studied the game since its conception.  My dream is to one day be picked to participate in the Survivor challenge. Please join me to hear more about my recovery story on Nov. 4, 2022.

Join us on the first Friday of every month for messages of hope and healing from the impacts of marijuana. We welcome a different speaker every month who will share their experience and provide pathways to find serenity as we navigate through today’s pro-marijuana/drug culture.
