Marijuana Prevention, Joe Tilton: Courageous and Caring Advocate

This memorial page is in honor of Joe Tilton, who will live on in our work for years to come. Connie Tilton, Joe’s wife, asks that donations be made to Every Brain Matters to honor Joe’s work in marijuana education and prevention and to provide support so other families can continue his legacy.

Joe courageously stood up for our families by providing education on the impacts of marijuana use after his son Jody’s life ended at the young age of 44 years old due to cannabis use disorder. Joe wrote numerous articles, gave presentations, spoke to legislators, and walked the halls of congress to stop the addiction-for-profit marijuana industry from expanding in our country. We all benefited from Joe’s relentless dedication to stopping the legalization of marijuana and are still inspired by his work.

Please watch the videos provided to hear Joe’s message and read his articles to truly understand Joe’s mission to save our families and our country from drug normalization and the predictable and proven outcomes. We honor Joe as a father, husband, writer, radio show host, journalist, advocate, and friend.

The last time I spoke to Joe on the phone he wasn’t worried about the fact that he was dying. He was worried about how marijuana was destroying our country. He cried with me and said, “Tell everyone, we must continue our work. I just drove through Oklahoma and it is littered with marijuana. There are criminal organizations that are trafficking people here and harming our environment.”

So in Joe’s honor, let’s continue to educate and advocate for healthy, addiction-free policies for our country and communities. Click the link below to join us or make a donation in Joe’s honor. Then keep scrolling to view inspirational videos and tributes and read Joe’s articles.

Joe Tilton shares his son, Jody, with us.

We honor an inspiring advocate, Joe Tilton. Joe was a journalist who educated many people despite experiencing the loss of his son. He was an inspiration to me and many others here and I just want to take his moment to honor him and know that he will be missed.
